Today you can find me in the cosmos
While my body lay limp in bed
A blue silk blindfold tied around my eyes
A cat purring softly by my side
But my mind is in the cosmos
For Earth is too much to bear
And I need to escape
Flesh stricken by gravity’s weight
Consciousness lighter than air
As I rise from my body slowly
I look down upon the Earth
Bones in backyards
Souls who are starved
Floating by unanswered prayers
In the cosmos there is mystery
That alters my small perspective
But maybe the stars are just
Combusted souls that prematurely
Came searching for answers
